Sue Glasspiegel and Susan Rietano Davey Principals and Co-directors of our Central Connecticut branch.

Sue and Susan are a dynamic team who blend their complementary skills in business management to help companies set policy, hire, and manage flexible professionals. The client list for both women boasts big-name international pharmaceutical, technology, and financial services companies, as well as an impressive array of growing, mid-sized companies that need top talent to stay within their budget.

Sue Glasspiegel broke new territory with flexible staffing solutions in Hartford County when she launched Flexible Resources' office in 1993. Shortly thereafter, in 1995, she was chosen by Congresswoman Nancy Johnson to represent Connecticut at the White House Conference on Small Business. That same year she helped found the Connecticut Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners. Sue combines the best of work–life balance.  She is a hard-working professional who maximizes her flextime to pursue her passions in business and the community. Prior to becoming a principal with Flexible Resources, Sue spent 15 years in strategic business planning with Codex, a division of Motorola, and Travelers Insurance Co where she was a corporate officer in strategic and policy planning.  She has also been instrumental in the development and success of many nonprofits that serve the Hartford region.  Sue graduated from Mount Holyoke College and received her MBA from Harvard University.

Susan Rietano Davey started with Flexible Resources soon after the opening of the Hartford office.  At the time she was recognized as one of Hartford’s top young business leaders in the Hartford Business Journal’s “40 Under Forty.”  She has continued to be a dynamic presence within the firm.  Susan has been a featured panelist and speaker at industry symposiums and roundtables, and on radio and cable television talk shows.  A skilled communicator, Susan has written extensively for newspapers about the flexible workplace. Susan has a loyal client following and a reputation for seeing beyond the resume and the job description to make successful, long-term matches. 

Susan earned her degree from St. Michael’s College and spent the 10 years at Xerox Corporation in a rapid succession of sales, sales management, and staff management positions, and earned the President’s Club distinction six times.  She counts among her greatest accomplishments the Team Excellence Quality Award she and her team won in 1992 for re-designing Xerox’s General Markets sales process.
